Seen the performance rumors/benchmarks but haven't seen anything on price. It's also rumored to come with 4GB of ram over a 512-bit bus, :wow: Hope its everything its rumored to be and under $600. It'll bring much needed competition at the higher end and perhaps get Nvidia to drop its prices. Maybe then I can score a used 780 for tri sli on the low :leon:

I believe Valve also has some sort of announcement this week. Probably the Steam box.

Nvidia probably gonna roll out Maxwell soon

Valve is gonna make 3 announcements...

So, after my brief sabbatical, I've determined that macs are useless except for the relative cool, but severely crippled os, and the "magic" trackpad :yeshrug:

SteamOS Announced

http://store.steampowered.com/livingroom/SteamOS/

Most interesting feature to me is the In-Home Streaming one. Basically looks like you'll be able stream games from your main rig over to a secondary one which has SteamOS and play them there sort of like Nvidia Shield. Looks like Windows 8 is going to be tossed in the bushes from my HTPC. They have two more announcements, one which will probably be the SteamBox which will run their OS.

In-home Streaming

You can play all your Windows and Mac games on your SteamOS machine, too. Just turn on your existing computer and run Steam as you always have - then your SteamOS machine can stream those games over your home network straight to your TV!

Edit:

Just seen your thread @daze23

that's what I was thinking. that has to be good news for those that already have a gaming and HTPC. HTPC's in general I guess. now they have a free OS that could be more efficient
