I liked Sleeping Dogs cause it forced me to get better at the combat. I beat Batman AC, but still feel like I suck at the combat and just button mashed my way through the game

I just button mashed batman too. I got good at countering, but still, it was mostly button mashing.

yep, mash one button, and then press the other one (counter) when prompted
Sleeping Dogs hit me with that wall of difficulty that was just like "you're not getting any further until you get better". that shyt makes you feel like you accomplished something when you do get better

you can add Devil May Cry to that list as well.
memorizing the combos, filling up the combo meter and busting out a special is what it's all about in Arkham.

i wasn't commenting on what you said but i agree completely with it.
Sleeping Dogs was not a game that you could mash your way through
because the different classes all had distinct vulnerabilities and defenses that you had to adapt to.
Arkham was different, you could get away with mashing the whole way through but mastering the combat mechanics was so rewarding.
and yeah, my Clean Drive time is some shyt.
nah, I just remember I could never beat yours (pause) in game. whenever you started one of those challenges, it would show you who on your friends list had a better time/score/whatever
