some folks on reddit. they were basically saying at its current state the day-z mod is way way better. I don't really like the whole "pay for alpha" thing, but we'll see how quickly the game progresses and changes

yeah, I guess I just expected more than an alpha.

of course the game is in early alpha...

and I like that you can pay for betas now.. makes more sense than randomly sending them out to people who have no real interest in the game anyway

and gives someone like me who might invest hundreds/thousands of hours into a game a chance to get used to it before the game comes out

I spawned near Balota. there's barracks now at the Balota Airstrip. found the vest and backpack there. I headed north from there but caught a glimpse at this row of highrise apts in Cherno. shyt looked like the PJ's I kept heading north into the woods though, cause I ain't about that Cherno/Elektro life
