You can't get a gaming desktop instead?? You can get a nice laptop but once you buy it... it's pretty much stuck with those specs so you would have to spend a good amount of money to make sure it last with heavy games for a good few years. PS4 you can get later like next year since the big titles drop next year.I really wanna get a gaming laptop, cause all these skyrim mods are driving me crazy but I'm too scared to spend all that money.
Right now its either a PS4 or a gaming laptop, I can buy the other option later.
you can get a gaming desktop and a PS4 for about $1,000 after mail in rebates, selling bundled games etcI really wanna get a gaming laptop, cause all these skyrim mods are driving me crazy but I'm too scared to spend all that money.

Well after further tests, it's not my CPU that is crippling my GPUs, it's something else (I'm seeing framerate drops in Borderlands 2 too, and I'm not anywhere close to 100% CPU usage there). The framerate drops just appear to be at random places (kinda like what @Rice N Beans said).
@Rice N Beans what did you tests conclude? Was Win 8 the problem? If so, I think you were on to something.
Edit: I think it's a DX9 problem. Games using DX11 run fine.
Edit 2: Yes, I'm gonna stop whipping myself and go back to Win 7 this weekend. I've had it up to here with Win 8 problems.![]()
IV is a bytch to mod, you need to fukk around with config files but when it works...You got the patience for all that. I don't. I remember all the steps needed to install one of those big overhaul texture mods for GTA IV(changed the city to reflect real ads and logos) and that shyt was tiring.
Dude hasn't slept in a week tweaking .ini files and messing with regedit
Yea It looks unreal tournament. I had climates of tamriel already installed. There was an option for a "lite" version but 45+fps is good enough imo since it isn't jumping up and down constantly.
But that shyt must've been overheating my system because my PC just SHUT DOWN! It's odd no other game ever did that before..
I was about to wild the f out. My system was HOT when I opened up the case.I'm a reckless PC gamer man
. I think I need a new case because my GPU fan is RIGHT behind a sound card with literally no breathing room.

midrange gaming desktop > High end gaming laptopI don't want a gaming desktop right now, because I prefer to bring my gaming with me on the move.
I also never knew you couldn't customize the specs of a laptop, only a desktop though? That's disappointing.
In terms of performance:
High end gaming desktop > High end gaming laptop
Is that correct?
You aren't joking. I'm furious at PC gaming right now. My 4th of July vacation is gonna be consumed with fixing this shyt. It's infuriating. I got other problems like fans being stuck at 5000rpms now (HWMonitor, Corsair Link, and Bios all show this fan at 5000rpm, and I can do nothing to change it in the BIOS or with corsair link). Then these sound card problems which apparently are unfixable, and now DX9 problems. I'm fukking furious! :uFurious:Dude hasn't slept in a week tweaking .ini files and messing with regedit

fukking borderlands 2 going down in fps for no fukking reason. It didn't do that with my 690 and 3820. fukking Furious!
If I can't fix this shyt with win 7, I might just turn in to a console gamer only
I feel you. There's NOTHING worse than getting ready to try out a game and you're greeted with a horrible error message.
