Metro Last Light gets a release date of May 14, :blessed:

Developed by Ukraine-based 4A Games, the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC sequel was previously scheduled for release in March 2013 under former publisher THQ. However, Deep Silver parent company Koch Media acquired the rights to the series in January for $5.8 million, leading to a change in release plans.
Koch Media CEO Dr. Klemens Kundratitz said: "The new release date is the ideal way to strike the balance between bringing the best out of Metro: Last Light and not keep the fans waiting longer than necessary.

"We won't leave that time unexploited and will work closely together with 4A Games to make the game even better. It will receive all the attention it deserves."

Deep Silver international commercial director Menno van der Bil also said: "We would like to thank all of the Metro fans for their patience. And we can assure them that we have a lot more coming their way with the franchise."

During a recent eyes-on, hands-off demo, we got to see three different sections of Metro: Last Light's post-apocalyptic take on Moscow, which follows on from the events of previous instalment Metro 2033. Get our impressions of the game in this Metro: Last Light preview.

the only person here playing it on smedium was perfectly happy with the performance they were getting at 720p :troll:

Blessed to it even being released after the THQ/Koch takeover. March/May, I don't give a fukk, just want to see it released.

Just over locked my 3570k to 4.2ghz. Seems as stable as the stock speed. The temps are a bit hotter at a max of 62-65c at 100% load in prime95 under this small fff test. Considering just leaving it at this speed from now on.

Most 3570k's can do 4.4-4.5 on stock voltages. As long as your temps stay below 90c you should be good. TDP on ivy bridge CPU's is 105c.

you got an older tv?

Yea my Toshiba TV I got back in 08 doesn't support 60hz @ 1920x1080.

It does 1920x1080@30hz interlaced. I googled online and found out that Crysis 3(and a few other EA games) supposedly run only in 60hz mode so it'll just run at the highest resolution that supports that refresh rate.

I went downstairs to my cousin's room and hooked up my PC to his TV(a 720P native TV) and I was able to select higher resolutions for Crysis 3 although anything higher than 720P had a loss of color for some reason. Both TV's I hooked up to were through HDMI.
