Depends on the model you are looking at?

Craigslist usually nets me the best deals on used MacBooks.
I really don't know much about macs breh. But I been using my girls and that shyt never freezes like my old laptop. I just know hers is a MacBook from 2011. Any advice will help. Thanks in advanced breh. Also was looking on Craigslist and was wondering how can I know it's not stolen ?

Ok that is a non-retina model, but $400 is a fair price.

Try to get him down to $350 and force to let you check it. Ask for the serial number before meeting up with them and run the serial number across:
Check Your Service and Support Coverage - Apple Support (this confirms the model number)
Stolen Apple Product Database | PowerMax (this checks their large list of stolen macs)

Boot up the MacBook and when you are on the desktop:
Click on the apple logo on the top left
Click on "About This Mac"

Verify the specs once this screen pops up:

Check the battery health by clicking on "System Report"
Then click on battery, this will give you the battery status and cycle count.

Then finally check the hard drive:
Check Hard Drive Health of a Mac with Disk Utility | OSXDaily

Even if the hard drive or battery is failing I will likely jump on it. Those can be replaced easily by someone who is comfortable opening up laptops.

I've legit spent around 10 hours a day searching around steam workshop for the perfect assets for cities skylines and testing out useful mods...

Found a mod that lets me keep the chirpy as a banner WITHOUT having to use mod coral, which isn't even compatible with snowfall

Found a 6 level metro station...shyt is so :wow:...got a 50k pop city with almost no traffic cause everyone is using metro and trams...

I...think I need help...I am ridiculously addicted to this game now...

shyt got so bad...I'm downloading customer vehicle's and then using a mod to apply then to certain buildings..

In one district of my city all the cops drive crown vics and in another destrict they all drive jeep cherokee's

Now I'm out here looking for train assets that are only from real companies...

I got a headache from staring at my monitor to long :mjcry:

Link to those mods

How are you liking snowfall? I'm hesitant to pull the trigger on it

You might not even need it
Steam Workshop :: Winter Buildings Unlocker (+vice versa)

Steam Workshop :: Environment Changer (+ Improved Theme Selection )

These mods let you unlock the buildings and apply the winter theme to any map. All you can't do is play on the few snowfall maps that came with the DLC and who really cares about that.

As far as linking all the mods I use...impossible...between mods and assets I'm using over a 100 and I haven't even scratched the surface of what I am going to use...

shyt's bad breh :mjcry:...I literally built a test city up to 50k just to test mods and assets in just to see how they look before I invest time into putting it into a real city:mjcry:

For mass transit this is a must have mod so you can increase how many people can ride a bus, metro, tram, etc at a time
Steam Workshop :: Advanced Vehicle Options (AVO)

To load only certain vehicles you have to have this mod
Steam Workshop :: Service Vehicle Selector 2.2.0

You got to be real careful with it though, if you download a cop car asset and use this mod to only have a police building spawn those cars, and the person who created the mod pulls it, then that building won't generate any cop cars and the next thing you know your crime is sky high.

Lost a city like this to trash because I was loading some custome trash truck assets and dude removed them...pop went from 60 + thousand to like 18 in like 15 real life minutes :bryan:

The look of snow is cool but the gameplay mechanics with having to provide heating is kind of annoying...you have to spend a ton of money on electricity if you don't use it and then cims might still freeze to death anyway...

After I get all the mods and assets I want to use I am going to build a :wow: winterized version of vegas...

This game doesn't get enough love...as much as I love the fallout 4's and GTA V's and whatever other triple a title...this game with the right assets and mods might be the goat game on the market right now...if you can imagine it you can build it...:wow:

shyt is so deep...you can download individual real life shops...you can just go download a taco bell asset and place that shyt in a custom made shopping center:wow:

You could legit recreate wherever you live in this game:wow:

@Ciggavelli I'm ready to start building. Which 980 TI should I get? Budget of $700
If you're going to possible sli in the future, get the reference version. If not, get one of those overclocked ones. I don't know which one is best, @daze23 has a 980ti, maybe he could help out here.

But if you wanna sli, which you might in the future, go reference/stock. The air blows out the back, instead of in the case. I made that mistake with my previous build. I had two overclocked asus cards and the top one always blowed hot air on the bottom one, which made that card like 10-15c hotter than the top one. I'd get either a reference card from EVGA or nvidia if you're going that route.

If no sli, I say just get the highest reviewed one or ask @daze23 which one he got.

Oh and I hope your entire budget is over $700. The 980ti will run you $650 I believe by itself. Try to get a skylake i7, if your budget allows for it, and 16gb of ram.
