I was reading and watching reviews on it. You're right, it's a mixed bag. It's heavy as shyt and has a weird orientation. I'm gonna do some more research and look for a different case. I might go back to my 900D. I want optimal air flow, so that might still be the best option. It's just so fukking big (same with the EVGA case too.....50lbs with nothing in itI can get that EVGA case for free in a few weeks![]()
It's about a 30% increase. I had some 1080s in my machine (now Titan X Ps), and I noticed a substantial bump with 3D Mark and other benchmarking tools. Now, I didn't have anything overclocked, so maybe that would make a difference. Now that we have more reliable benchmarks for the 1080, can someone confirm where I stand?
I have a MSI 980TI OC. From everything I can gather, it's literally on par with the 1080. VR, 4K, and efficiency seem to be better on the 1080, but I haven't adopted VR or 4K so I doubt it really matters, anyway. Only game I'll likely play to stress either will be GTA V and even that seems to be in the same ballpark.
Am I missing something here or is the performance differences really that negligible?
I'm going with the 6850K over the 6900K. It's just better for gaming, plus it has 40 lanes, as opposed to the 20 or so with the 6800K or 6700K (I'm sli-ing and want to get some PCIe SSDs).
And it's $400 cheaper than the 6900K![]()
