Best RGB lights?

I'm trying to light my shyt up. I already have a MOBO light strip that came with my ASUS X99 Deluxe 2, but I want the top and bottom to be lit up. :yeshrug:

Just upgraded the memory and added a bigger ssd drive

Looking into upgrading my monitor as well

But PC master race told me I would only have to pay once and have no need to upgrade for a couple of years :francis:

:russ: You're gonna take him down a dark path.

Overclocking shyt over and over again just to get a higher number score :lupe:

I started chasing numbers so much after I started the benchmark game. An extra 1K 3D Mark score....:noah:

Benchmarking is like a game in itself. The satisfaction after getting a successful overclock is :noah:

Pushing it further and further until your shyt fukks up :noah:

I'm not a part of that life anymore.

It got terrible at one point. I remember taking apart a case just because the front fans were slightly louder.

Problem is I didn't like the blue LEDs because they were a little too bright for my liking. So I went can hunting for about 3 hours online to get exactly what I wanted.

The difference was barely audible...took 5-6 hours of work :mjlol:

I got a question about monitors. I keep hearing about stuttering and screen tearing. How bad is it if you get a 144hz monitor but without G-Sync? Would you guys recommend just buying a G-Sync or will the prices go down later.

These are the two monitors I'm looking at currently.

Acer GN246HL Bbid 24-Inch 3D Gaming Display (144Hz Refresh Rate)

Acer Predator XB241H bmipr 24-inch Full HD 1920x1080 NVIDIA G-Sync Display, 144Hz, 2 x 2w speakers, HDMI & DP

I'd say it depends on what kind of PC you have, chances are you probably would benefit more from a G Sync monitor that's not 144hz

144hz won't do anything to help tearing, and might even make it worse depending on how many frames you're getting

So it depends really on what games you are planning on playing/how many frames you can get in said games.

If it was up to me, I'd personally go with a G Sync monitor in your situation

You can read up some more on it, search for something like 144hz screen tearing and see what you think
