How's the picture tho? Everybody always tells me to :hubie: TN panels because no matter how much you calibrate, it won't be as "vibrant" as an IPS model.

I have a hard enough time getting a monitor without dead pixels. Now I got people putting that in my ear.

Comes in the mail today I'll let you know. I've watched several reviews and I haven't heard any bad things at all. When I upgrade to a better GPU that's when I'll transition to an IPS 144hz G-sync monitor, by then I hope they're not $700+.

Here is a detailed review if you wanted a more in-depth look at it.

Do we have any solid clues on when the 1080 TI or new "Titan" is coming out?

I'm seeing January as a possibility?

So, I can't get msi afterburner to run with direct x 12.

Are there any other programs I can use to run with DX12 that does that same thing (mainly the fan curve)?

Never mind: I downloaded 4.3.0 beta 14 and it works now :whew:

RTSS's OSD doesn't work with dx12, but it shouldn't effect your fan-curve (or overclocking) in Afterburner

the current afterburner crashes anything dx12 on my computer, but with 4.3.0 beta 14 it works perfectly fine. The overlay even works too :gladbron:

I recommend downloading it, if you haven't yet

I can't stress how much 16x16 gen 3 pcie has improved my performance over 8X8 with games.

I've been doing some benchmarking (as I'm known to do :manny:), and we're talking like 20fps differences. Hitman no longer has horrible fps drops, GTA is a steady 60 with mods (it used to drop down into the 40s), 3D Mark is like 8K more, etc.

40 lanes :blessed:

The 6850x cost a pretty penny, but Pascal cards like 16x16. We didn't have this problem with Maxwell cards, but if you're gonna sli Pascal cards, get a 6850x.

pcie bottlenecks are a real concern now.

I like the picture quality out of the box. Keep in mind the only reference I have is my TV and this monitor. I think if you're in the hunt for a 1080P monitor you're not going to find a better one than this. I will also warn that I'm in my pc gaming honeymoon phase so everything I'm experiencing is blowing my mind as a console gamer.

If you're in it for the colors an IPS panel is unmatched in terms of color accuracy and that pop.

I'm not that big of a stickler for that type of stuff. I prefer the G-Sync technology and 144hz.

Question....

Does anybody use their Dualshock 4 controller on their PC. Mine keeps disconnecting no matter what I try. I'm using DS4Windows and it still disconnects. Thinking about picking up a Xbox 360 controller in the meantime until I can fix this problem.

Not that I can upgrade this :flabbynsick: PC yet, but can someone break down water cooling for me?

I've heard about it for years but I can never get past using liquid to cool a PC part :patrice:

And do you have to change it? What's going on?
