Anyone know of a good Male Display Port to female HDMI adapter that supports 4K @ 60hz?? My R9 280 only supports 4K @ 60hz via Display port because the HDMI port is HDMI 1.4. I have a 4K TV and I'm stuck at 4K/30HZ which feels sluggish. It's so crisp and clean/beautiful as a PC monitor(Sony XBR43X800D 4K TV).

Old pc taking a shyt lately. Going to buy a Mac book pro after st of the year
Couple questions:
Hdd or solid state (500 gb)?
Also I have the option of 4, 8or 16 ram.. was thinking 16 is overkill..
Should I spend the extra for Retina display? I don't even know what that is lol
Anything I'm missing?
I mostly use it for music (djing and studio) Traktor studio, s4
Also some business like quickbooks and invoicingbut mostly music

SSD
8gb of ram (at a minimum. I'd get 16gb, but it's not really necessary on a mac. I just like more ram )
Get a Retina display. You'll be impressed by it if you are used to 1080p displays.

Get last year's 12" MBP Retina with a 256gb SSD and 8gb of ram. I bet you can find it for $1K...maybe even less.

Catch 22. You need a good gpu to run games at 4K.

I run 4K on select games with the 970 on low to medium settings. And that sounds fair.

Lol I tried running some ROTR on my R9 280 at 4K. shyt was hovering around 19~23fps on low.

Looked good though. I wish there was checkerboard rendering here
