i don't understand why people buy graphics cards when they first come out.
my 970 ftw+ is doing it's thing.

i'll probably keep it for another year or two before i replace it.

wait a year and the price will go waaaaaaaayyyyy down.

they don't always drop though. Nvidia probably doing it now to compete with whatever AMD has coming out

I heard the new AMD cards have NVIDIA concerned. I hope the AMD cards are good as any competition will be good for us consumers.

either way that's the way roll.
a graphics card that is one gen old can easily run current gen games.

i'm running my shyt at 1080p.
for the time being i'm good with that.
at some point i will fall back behind the leading pack to the point that i need to upgrade.

that's when i will do it.

Right now NVIDIA (670 ) but i'll be getting a new card probably in May. Not sure if I'll stick with Nvidia or AMD but i'm partial to Nvidia.

Ok. Well with new AMD cards looking promising I would wait until they are released along with the benchmarks. NVIDIA should be dropping the prices of their cards.
