I have the Titan X P (basically the same card as the 1080ti, here or there) and the card is a fukking monster. I tears through 4K like nothing (except for deus ex). Great, great card. It's well worth the asking price (basically 1/2 off what I paid )

I'm getting a CPU that is currently only half of what the 6900K is and within 10% of the performance...for free.

So I cant complain at all right now

Nice...thanks man! I definitely will. New mobo, ram (probably), and chip. I hate to upgrade so soon though, so we'll see just how much better X299 is.

BTW, I still can't believe the x99 chip set only lasted 3 year, with 2 iterations. Complete bullshyt

Think I fukked up my HDD last night.

I'm an idiot and decided to shut down my laptop prematurely several times, now the HDD is clicking and at 100% usage at start up.

Backing up my data now, taking forever and running a chkdsk to repair shyt, but I am assuming the drive is dying now?

I currently have... i3 6100, 1050Ti, Gigabyte b150m motherboard. I do 1080 60fps just fine on most titles, but...

What do you guys think I should look at upgrading first(new cpu, gpu, etc...)?

new cpu asap that i3 wont cut it for a good amount of AAA games
if the video card fits your needs then dont change that,but change the cpu

Yeah I've had no issue with RE7,BF1 & Paragon, but ME: Andromeda has me worried that it will be more cpu intensive.

I'll def make the leap to an i7 in the next couple of months.
