nice build.
how much did the liquid cooling cost you?
what kind of fluid do you use?
was the install easy?

RX 360 - $89.95
RX 240 - $66.95
XSPC Dual Bay Reservor - $49.95
Swiftech Apogee HD CPU Block -$59.95
2x Koolance VID-580 Blocks - $240
Tubing - $28
D5 Pump - $83.95
Fittings - $30
Distilled Water - $1.50
6x Scythe Gentle Typhoons (Rad Fans) - $95.70

Total = $745.95 :whew:

Granted I didn't buy all of this at the listed prices nor from this site. Nor did I buy it all in one shot. Water cooling is expandable so you can add more and more shyt as you go.

I only used distilled water in my loop. It isn't hard to do once you get the hang of it. Very risky though if you don't take your time with it.

that's way out of my price range.
no way i could spend that much on a cooling system.

Like everything there's different types/brands/prices for these things. You can easily get a custom loop for $200 but even that is too much for the average person.

I started off with something like this though,

[ame=http://www.amazon.com/Corsair-Series-Performance-Liquid-CW-9060002-WW/dp/B005QUQP8U/]Amazon.com: Corsair Hydro Series H70 High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060002-WW): Electronics[/ame]

I added how to take back 40+ gigs from Windows for an OS SSD drive in original post. I recommend everyone who has an SSD follow the guide who don't have a need for system restore and hibernation. My OS 128GB SSD sitting on 105GB's free instead of the usual 50-55 GB's or so after a clean windows install.

Where are you purchasing from? Better question would be what's your budget and what you are trying to do. Upgrade an existing machine or doing a complete rebuild?

Ram = Personally I'd go with the cheapest 8GB modules of 1600hmz CAS 9 ram you can find. Even if it's just one stick. In the following order, Crucial, Mushkin, Corsair/G.Skill

These companies usually do lifetime warranty on ram and RMA is a breeze if needed. Especially Corsair.

SSD = Crucial m4 or Samsung 830/840. If on a tighter budget ADATA S510. There are OCZ drives that go for about 70 bucks or so but I've had problems with OCZ's service in the past and can't recommend them.

Windows 8 - Legit iso's aren't readily available as Windows 7's are as of yet. I'll see if I can dropbox one or something similar this afternoon.

In Canada it doesn't look like you have much choices for under $100. With that being said without doing too much looking this looks like a decent mobo for under 100,

Newegg.ca - MSI Z77A-G41 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard with UEFI BIOS

It has the Z77 chipset so its fully compatible with Sandy Bridge & Ivy Bridge CPU's, has plenty of video outputs and sata connectors. You won't be doing SLI/CF setups or much overclocking with it so if you're not going to be doing any of that then it's a solid choice. Other boards I'd go with for near a 100 or even under at times is the Asrock Extreme4. AMD boards are also an option but I wouldn't be able to help you there.

You're def due for an upgrade and it will be a huge jump. If you don't play games then def keep the 6770 and PSU is great. If all you do are light tasks on the pc then an Ivy Bridge i3 could most likely seal the deal for you. (Even a Sandy Bridge)

You can keep the old HDD. It won't cause any issues whatsoever. As far as fans go as many as it takes to create positive pressure in your case, (more air in than out). If you are getting that board all you need is a case that can accommodate a mATX board. There's so many and peoples taste vary so I'm really not sure what I could recommend that you would like. Things I look for in a case are the following,

- Air Flow
- Tool less design
- Wire Management
- PSU mounted on Bottom (just a preference)
- Material (hate dealing with cases that can slice your fingers off.)

What kind of budget are you working with for a case?

Depends on what you are using the computer for, if it's what I think then I'd just get whatever i3 Sandy Bridge or Ivy Bridge that's within your budget. Ivy being the better of the two by like 6-10%, less power usage, and better integrated IGPU which shouldn't matter to you since you're using a video card. The upside to getting a Z77 board is the upgrade options you have if you ever have the need for more power. You can plug into that board an i5-2500k, i7-2600k, i5-3570k, i7-3770k just to name a few

I tend to stick to cases with a simple look. You are going to want a case with front USB 3.0 ports and good airflow.

Shame the Corsair 200R costs $20 to ship but you get it back via MIR. That's what I'd go with at first glance at that $75 range,

Newegg.ca - Corsair Carbide Series 200R Black Steel structure with molded ABS plastic accent pieces ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

If you live near a Microcenter store go there. I just updated my PC from a
Nvidia Geforce 8600 GT
Asus M2nSLI deluxe motherboard
Amd Athlon 64 X2 4800+ dual core
4GB DDR2

TO
Nvidia Geforce GTX 550 TI 1GBGddr5
Asus M5A78L Motherboard
AMD Athlon FX 4100(OC'd to 4GHZ) quad core
8GB DDR3 1033 Ram

for $287 total. Mobo was $10 when bought together with CPU. My computer already had a OC-Z 60 GB SSD so I reinstalled Win 7 64 bit and my sh1t is humming! I just "installed" Far Cry 3 and just joined the Master race brehs.

Idk why I waited so long.
