it seems they're going with the 'minecraft model' and offering early access (to an unfinished product) at a discount
there's also gonna be a 'lite' alpha that will be free (invite), but won't include multiplayer. but i'm not sure exactly how they're gonna give those out. I think those that do pay for the 'full' alpha get a few 'lite' invites for friends

I'm gonna wait to see how people's reactions are to the Arma 3 alpha, but I'm very interested. the amount of mods for Arma 2 is ridiculous, and they seem to be more in bed with Steam now, so I predict a 'workshop' as well for Arma 3
Bohemia Interactive basically hit the lottery with DayZ. Arma 2 was already 2+ years old, and I'm pretty sure they had more or less written it off... and then it shot to the top of the Steam charts and sold around 1 million copies. it must have really shook their company up, and opened up all kinds of doors. I imagine that's part of the reason Arma 3 has been delayed (it was supposed to be out around the end of 2012), but hopefully it'll all be better in the long run

Damn that Arma 3 look nice. I never played these shyts. What's up with Arma 2?? I only heard of some Dayz mod where everybody is on some free for all shyt or something.

They run cool but being that I water cool my CPU and all my fans are on silent mode shyt was the loudest thing in my computer. Kepler GPU's also throttle their speeds when they hit 70c which is easy to get up to with some resource intensive games and slight overclocking. To compensate for the heat the fans speed up over 60% which again is too loud for me, It also doesn't help that my case is a water cooling case.
Now my shyts are silent, don't pass 35c, and boost clock is set to 1228 (stock was 1019)
The green Geforce GTX led logo was fukking wit my color scheme as well,
