This card is a beast, Plus you can crossfire it with a 7950 or 7970 or maybe a 7990??

I installed the card. When I started up NBA 2k13, I noticed it makes this noise. It's almost like a really fast clicking. It's more noticeable on the main menu screen than during a game or other menu screens.
Also, the temp went up to 50c after just benchmarking (takes 60 seconds), probably 5 minutes total.
Is any of that normal?
Something to think about in the future. I'll probably replace the mobo and cpu before I do that, though. This card is huge.

Apparently it's called "coil whine." It started to make a whining sound when I ran another benchmark. I guess it's common with these cards, and not damaging. Kinda annoying as fukk though.

85c is pretty damn hot. I'm not an AMD guy, but look into software to speed up your gpu fan
50c is straight. as far as the clicking sound, look to see if anything's in the fan
its on 90 when im gaming breh...

I ordered some ic diamond 7 to see if that will cool it down.
ICD7 is abrasive. I wouldn't use it directly on die. Go for it if it has a heat spreader over the die.
It can only be crossfired with 7800 series cards. So either another 7870 or a 7850.

Normally you would be right, but I beleive he said that like me he has the xt version.
People refer to them as 7930's, the have the tahiti core not the pctarin core like the regular 7870's, so you can only crossfire with a tahiti chip, like the 7950 or 7970.
