My PC is :flabbynsick: When trying to play Skyrim Legendary, it kind of stutters when looking around and I;m not playing on max settings, I have the resolution up to 1080P on a 21' monitor with HDMI. Here are my specs:
MB:ASRock 970 PRO3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard
Processor:AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core Desktop Processor
4GB DDR3
EVGA 01G-P3-1302-LR GeForce 8400 GS 1GB 64-bit DDR3 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready Low Profile Ready Video Card.

Where am I lacking?

Not sure breh, you're trying to use a 7-8 year old card in 2013. :manny:

Perhaps drop the reso to 720P, or lower the details, :scusthov:

As far as which card to get, it doesn't have to be $200. You can get previous gen cards that are many times more powerful than that 8400 in the $150 range, even less. All depends on what you want to spend and what settings you are comfortable with.

i have a gtx 560ti and it runs everything nicely...you may have to scale back things like Anti-aliasing but other than that it's a great video card and it holds down the fort.

the card you have now is :shyt:...i have been where you are now and no matter what you do with the settings it's not gonna change the fact that the hardware is not up for the task.

i want to upgrade my video card but i'm gonna wait about 6 months to do so.
