NY all day..Da Stead & BK..
Ok..something is kinda strange to me...for some reason..when I play Crysis 3 it runs smoother on higher settings...like when it's ran on lower settings its initially smooth but I get fps dips and minor stutter...on higher settings it runs perfectly smooth..no stutter at all...what's that about?

I'm not sure about Crysis 3, but some games dump stuff (shadows, lighting, etc) onto the cpu with lower settings

I've done it in the past. It's not worth it as you won't see any benefits from it. Just the con that if there's an issue with one all of the data becomes useless.

thats what i thought, unless you are transferring huge ass files, theres probably not enough to be gained from it

If you overclock both of them I am thinking you can get close to a 690 in performance.

Nope. A 660 TI SLI can get close but even that is questionable.

Edit: To answer the question an extremely good overclocked pair of 660s in SLI can almost meet a 780s stock performance. That's being very generous.

:whoa: a 690 is like 2 680's

it would also be a problem if 2 $200 cards could match the performance of their $1000 card

I imagine 2 660's probably give you similar performance to a single 680/770
