I'ma hold out one more year I want a complete new build for around 1300-1400 before rebates. I think the technology might be there where instead of paying 600-850 for a 4k 144 ultrawide, it'll be going for 350-450. I have a 1440 build but want to be fully seamless 4k. Still debating on just getting a high-end laptop and maybe grabbing a monitor as well.​

Could a bios update help with the ram speed? As for the m.2 slot not being recognized, I think that it may be sharing the chipset of the PCI slots and taken off line if a certain PCI slot is used. I have two m.2 slots and am using the one further down from the cpu. Supposedly the one closer to the cpu runs faster but whatever. The one I'm using has a dope heatsink so I used that.

Breh, I updated the Intel Management Engine firmware. It fixed it. I was able to set my RAM to the correct speed. The 3dMark benchmark CPU score went from 12266 to 19093. Crazy.

Bought two 2TB Samsung 980 pro nvme SSDs off Amazon for 179 a pop. They usually go for 379. Guess the 990 and Black Friday deals helped out on that price. Just need a case and a liquid cooler and I can start my new build

Crazy. They still scalping the fukk out these 4090s. Markup isn’t as horrible as 2020 but this trickling of stock isn’t wavy nvidia next gpu I get might be on team red

I waited for the 3080 and did not get weak and pay the scammer fee, this is being purchased if i get my hands on it.

Not even worth getting atm. The 3xxx's series still can hold down any game at max in 1440p. I used to be the type to upgrade every year but right now is a stupid time to be doing that.

seems like every other genenration nvidia tries some bullshyt to see what they can get away with. vote with your wallets and let them know by not buying that 4080 trash. horrible pricing on that
