I've had my cpu stress testing the past four hours without a hitch in prime 95. I oc'd to 3.9ghz and it's right now hovering between 69c-72c while under the stress tests. I'll let this ride out for 24 hrs.

Which test did you go with, hopefully "Blend". The following custom test is what we usually go by on OCN, a few hours of that and you should be good to go,

Either use Prime95 Blend mode or better use...

MY PREFERRED CUSTOM TEST
Match the settings to what is in the picture below and use these settings for every test in this guide.

"Number of torture test threads to run" should be automatically be set to 4 or 8 depending on what CPU you have.

"Memory to use in MB" should be set to 512 x # of GB of RAM installed. 4GB x 512 = 2048. 8GB x 512 = 4096.



Be sure to have these advanced options checked. They are not checked by default.
~Click "Cancel" on the Torture Test popup to unlock the menus.

yea i went with blend. I'll try that custom test at 4.0ghz or higher if everything is straight with the current test.

PC brehs, I need your honest unbiased opinion:

Right now I got a PS4 on pre order. It's the BF4 bundle and now I'm having second thoughts. I'm not thinking instead of dumping that money into a high end GPU and BF4 premium.

Only problem is I still like to play some of the shyt on consoles (some sports, Red Dead and some other console only games) and obviously I have a lot of friends who still use consoles.

But I find myself more and more on the PC gaming tip now, and I much preferred to playing BF4 on the PC than my 360.

What do you think? PS4 BF4 bundle or something like a R9 290 (not 290X) and BF4 premium?

BTW, I have a Wii U and enjoy it. Also allows my child, nieces and nephews to play certain games.

i would have either a PS4 or XB1 and a gaming PC rather than a Wii U and a Gaming PC. a Wii U isn't gonna play the better console only games of the coming generation that aren't Nintendo.

but it's the only place to play those Nintendo games. I don't think you can argue that the Wii U doesn't have the most 'exclusive' content out of the 3 consoles

Exactly...the WiiU is becoming more and more intriguing to me..

I love Nintendo games too. Wii U is a must have even though it is extremely disappointing hardware wise.

Not going to get rid of it for that reason and because the children enjoy it.

I decided to keep my PS4 pre-order and to get the R280X on Tuesday. Going with BF4 on PS4 and Titanfall for PC this holiday.

I'm definitely waiting for the benchmarks come Tuesday but I expect them to be solid cards.
