Yeah, I'm starting to notice my 3080 is starting to fall behind a bit
I personally get most single player games on console because I like playing on my TV and the console experience. I've had my PC set to display through my TV and used a controller with steam but it still just didn't hit the same as gaming on a console, plus PlayStation used to have a ton of great exclusives (looks like they're pivoting back to that instead of PC releases).
I use my PC mostly for online gaming / FPS / RTS type games
I got super lucky. I built my new PC in June of 2025 about 6 months before the 64 gb ddr5 I bought jumped in price 500%...
Wifey was talking about wanting to console game for a few months but I brushed it off. But she kept bringing it up so one day I went out and got her the PS5 pro. She loves it and I gotta say that I'm low key impressed with it as well. If you sat me down 8-10 feet away from my 55' tv and asked me to tell you the visual differences in modern PC/console games, i would find it difficult to point that shyt out.
The PS5 controller is butter. I'm a kb/m head for life but I recognize greatness when I'm holding it. The amount of tech they fit into it is wild.
It's def an interesting time to be a gamer.

So, i been wanting a smaller laptop to put in a camera backpack. So i hit up this pawn shop and see this:
I bought it from the pawnshop for about $200 total.
I'm tryna figure out why that shyt was ever $1800 to begin with.
anyway, speaking of laptops, my cheap Asus Vivobook just died on me after a lil over a year.
. And I only used it to stream from my main PC to my living room TV and at work, so no heavy use at all. But now I got a Lego 2 for that.
