38 hrs into Far Cry 2. thought I was almost done with it. went in lastnight like "I'm gonna finish this shyt"...
turns out I just got to Act 3
to be clear, I'm talking about Far Cry 2
it's far from a perfect game, and Far Cry 3 is definitely superior in many ways. FC2 is more of a hardcore game, and can be quite tedious (especially if you refuse to use fast travel like me). there's a lot of long distance back and forth travelling, with respawning enemies in between. to see the map, you physically take out a map without stopping time. there's also no waypoints, so you need to use the map a lot
that all being said, I like the game a lot, hence 38 hrs. I also got it for $2.50 in the summer sale
despite being an older game, it looks pretty good. especially when you crank up the AA to 8x
Yeah, it is really short (I beat it in 3 hours). But it's definitely worth it (especially if you can get it for like $5 or something)I remember hearing it's real good but real short. I'm hoping it's cheap during the autumn sale

anyway, yeah, fast travel fukks up my herp-derp immersion. it gets to the point where you might as well not be playing an 'open world' game because you're just teleporting from place to place
cause i never see it coming when they say it.
