Anybody eager to install SteamOS today?? I'm waiting I want to destroy my hard drive or fukk something up today just so I can use my bag of jasmine rice I just bought.

Going to test it on my HTPC if the streaming option is made available.

yeah my psu pulls air from the bottom, theres a vent+dust filter down there.

i took a crap long time figuring where to put it. i use to have them by the drive bay area, but i got the fan + most of my "cable management" there now....

i originally wanted to velcro it to the back of the case where most of the cables are, but molex cables were annoying and couldnt get them to sit at proper angles. im leaving my ssds there temporarily until my brain figures out a new way for all this.

I actually have the 840 in my server on the PSU the same way.

yeah, i'm not trying to switch up my OS.
if i wanted to i could play on my tv just by hooking it up as is...i don't get what this whole new OS is for.

a couple things:

-to get away from windows. they're claiming increased performance

-an OS that's geared towards a large hdtv and a controller

You can already get this experience by dual-booting Linux and running Steam in Big Picture mode. There's no reason yet to switch to SteamOS.

Whelp, can't use that shyt yet Need a Nvidia GPU to use it which my HTPC doesn't have nor is the in-home streaming option available yet.

brehs, i got invited to steam family sharing this week but i dont understand how to make it work. my brother lives in another country and i want to let him play my game library. how do i give him access

Brehs, all of you can use this right now, or just see how it works by watching a video of Steam for Linux in Big Picture mode. It's nothing more than that right now.
