Lookin back at the thread I think it was around October...but yea..the bundle with Assassins Creed didn't hit till around the price drop of the GTX cards so I'm thinkin end of October beginning of November..

Ok..so I'm stress testing my cpu..the fx6300 is 3.5ghz stock..but prime95 is only running 3.2ghz speed and only 93% utilization.. Is that normal?..

Yea that's exactly what happened..I been playing splinter cell and I like it a lot so far..

wasnt there problems with p95 and AMD chips? unless it has been fixed

well i read a whilllle back that p95 would always error for FX chips regardless of any settings or that the torture tests werent being optimized properly, but im 99% sure the issue(s) have been addressed

I got that shyt on my FX 4100 and it's sohh icey entertainment since. I've got my shyt overclocked from 3.6ghz stock to 4.3ghz and under load the temps fluctuate from somewhere between 40-55ish degrees. Before I used to get like 70 degrees under the same conditions. My shyt been stable since but Idk I think I may soon depart with the cooler next year due to the steam box cases.

Maybe. When the that case form factor is readily available I may just go ahead and migrate my parts to a steam box though I'll just use windows on it as I'm a windows guy so I'm not messing with linux solely. Right now I have a 2GB 7870 and a FX4100, I definitely want to upgrade the CPU next year and I might as well go ahead and swap the 7870 out for say a R280 or a Geforce card I'm just waiting to see what's better
