That's how we do, might just wait till Kepler comes through and crushes everything.
Diminishing returns and it depends on the game, in SLI in some games Im only seeing 10fps less than 680s in SLI. Keep in mind, I got my 580s for cheaper than what the 680s are currently selling.

i forgot who it was in the thread over at sohh but whoever put me onto xbmc + navi-x, HUGE THANKS. been using it everyday since
on another note, is there any good programs to help speed up the bootprocess into windows? i know there was a program before that would see what takes the longest to load up and then suggest changes to speed it up. can't remember the name though

I am just going based off of the charts I saw when the 680 was released, it was killing the 580 and everything else. BF3 is kind of a bad example just because that game is also so heavy on your processor even more so than GPU
but either way just a little improvement or not id still sell my 2 6870s for $300 and spend the other $200 to get a 680

I've checked benchmarks since I was thinking about getting two, but it doesn't really blow me away. It's faster than a 580, but the gap isn't that wide, it's mostly a refresher card that is better with power consumption. The Kepler line of cards will be the huge step up (2014).
Unrelated, took some screenshots of Sniper Elite V2...I "bought" it today and it's a decent game. The kill cams make a nikka feel bad for even shooting -
