Is passmark the ultimate test of your CPU? I get scores that are average, so I think I'm all good, but I need to make sure. I don't think I should be getting the bottle necking I'm getting in some games with a 4820k

I'm gonna overclock it, but I think something is wrong with it. What else should I use to check to make sure the CPU is working properly?

I don't want my 780tis to be bottle necking.

Skyrim, crysis, and watch dogs bottleneck. I know watch dogs should, but I dunno about skyrim and crysis. It's in some towns in skyrim and during random times during crysis.

Black flag also bottlenecks, but that game is poorly optimized.

Skyrim kinda surprises me. I run that game with 4x sgssaa (aka a lot of pixels), and don't see my cpu bottleneck. then again I do have a modest overclock (4.3 ghz)

Watch Dogs has issues. Crysis is still Crysis, and just really wasn't 'designed' to maintain 60fps. that game is known to be very cpu limited, especially with all the pixels you're pushing

I think you should expect to have to overclock your cpu for 3 monitor gaming

I was reading that I should get no bottleneck with my CPU and GPUs. But then again, not many people game on 3 monitors.

Skyrim concerned me, given how old the game is. I gotta overclock this week to see what's up.

Watch Dogs was even bottlenecking on one monitor, but then again that game is fukked up (I'm not running any hacks or mods).

Thanks for your help

Edit: I meant to say Crysis 3 bottlenecks. I haven't tried crysis 1. Crysis 2 runs butter smooth

I think he might have 3x 2560x1440...that dudes setup must look like the shyt Hugh Jackman was working on in Swordfish.
Nah I have two profiles.

3 1080ps and then a second profile for a single 1440p monitor. I switch back and forth. 3 1440ps is just not possible. It's 7.5k :whew: I looked into it, but I woulda needed 4 cards or some bullshyt like that (and of course some $1K processor).

With all these CPU dependent games out there, those 6-cores are looking tempting.

I wish I knew beforehand. :lupe: At least I have a mobo that can accommodate them in the future if/when I decide to upgrade.

I was thinking too old school. Thinking I could overpower games in 3 monitors with sheer GPU power. Now it's looking like CPUs are becoming more and more important.

I blame watchdogs for this shyt.

Edit: but now I'm reading games don't even use 6 cores. There is no solution then I guess :to:
