The Pelicans have repeatedly stressed to Zion that his diet and conditioning need to improve. Zion, multiple team sources have told, "doesn't listen"

Zion should be taking a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity seriously. If he does, the critics will be (relatively) silent because he's a gifted player.
Food is literally made of chemicals you put in your body like drugs alcohol and other shyt. If people can become addicted to drugs and alcohol why wouldn't they become addicted to food? To sit back and judge someone struggling with something you don't just because you aren't facing the demons they are is fukked up.

They make food in labs and test it on people for the most addictive combination of ingredients and maybe Stephen A can eat a couple chips and put the bag down. Zion obviously can't. They need to treat him like a real addict and stop acting like it's a bad decision he's purposely making to self sabotage himself cause he doesn't give a fukk.

I can walk in a casino pull the slot machine once and leave. Another person would walk in there and blow their life savings. Who am I to talk down on them because I don't have that problem?

I agree with your overall sentiment, but I still stand by my statement. If he is unable to solve this issue on his own, it is in the best interest of the Pelicans to provide assistance in this area. Additionally, has it been confirmed he has an actual addiction to food? This is quite the inference without an actual diagnosis.

He got the shyt in his contract to stay at a certain weight and condition and he still can't do it. How can he not be an addict? Who the hell would purposely sign a contract like that then go out and mess it all up?

I think it's pretty clear when he signed the contract he thought he could but he can't.

On some real shid, I think Zion should spend part of his offseason abroad. Like in Europe, Asia or Africa.

Why?

They don’t have the chemicals and additives in the food out there.

I left the USA for 3 months in November and immediately lost weight.

You are aware of the concept of moral hazard, correct? People violate contracts daily to varying degrees.

It may be clear to you, but without an official statement from him, his organization, or team this is an inference on your part, lol.

He needs to do something. He losing this battle in public and embarrassing himself. He has advantages normal people don't have so he should still be able to do better than this. He has access to the best of care and professional chefs that can manage this. His livelihood depends on it.

Our society doesn't approach people with food addiction like that. They mock them and call them fat b*stards as you saw. The team is never going to come out and make that statement.

I agree and it will be to the detriment of Zion's health, which is the most important thing in this context. As someone who fasts intermittently daily, our relationship with food significantly impacts how we shape our reality.

If the pels were smart they would have been sending him to counseling sessions quietly. It can't be physical just because he's a professional athlete. He burns a ton of calories every game.

At this point it has to be mental

We know he's overweight and is tuned out, but is this cool to do on national tv? If he had a drug problem would SAS be like, "I'm hearin' he's inhaling everything from coke to heroin to baby powder down in New Orleans!!"
That’s all I’m saying. The guy has a problem but he doesn’t need to be mocked and ridiculed for it. I pray he gets this under control and goes on to have a productive career.
