The Pelicans have repeatedly stressed to Zion that his diet and conditioning need to improve. Zion, multiple team sources have told, "doesn't listen"

Center self, inner self
It's over. At this point, his peak will be a second team career rejuvenation arc with another team where he's the #2 to a true #1. Duke Zion ain't ever coming back.
Which is a shame bc he was more slender and an absolute monster at Duke. Maybe the greatest freshman of all time at Duke and that is saying A LOT

He’s averaging 22 and 6 on good efficiency offensively but he could be so much more. He’s primarily concerned about eating good and fukking big booty hoes and is OK with just being a ‘good’ player.
The internal motivation and drive is hard to measure. Scouts can check physical ability, shooting, basketball IQ etc., but how someone behaves AFTER they become multi-millionaires is hard to predict.

Of course...Zion has always had weight issues. Those kinds of guys (Barkley, Shaq etc) always struggle with weight.
