The world is much safer with one global power. That was the ome benefit of Pax Americana. We really do not want to live in a world with more than one global military power.

I agree. I am just saying having more than one global military power makes our world FAR more dangerous. Also as war-hawkish as America is I doubt the military industrial complexes of China or Russia will be any less malevolent. Both governments have atrocious human rights records and are far more authoritarian in nature.

Ultimately one of the greatest threats to our species is the governments we put in power. An astounding number of humans have died at the hands of both foreign and their domestic governments. There is not much of a difference between me as an American citizen and someone living in Russia, North Korea, Iran or China. We are both etching out an existence and our lives are pretty much in the hands of a few sociopaths at the top in our respective countries. If war breaks out we are forced to murder one another all because the decision of individuals who'll never have the misfortunate of using a weapon.

The usa is an empire in final decline.. going up against Russia and China. Russia alone would be a serious problem, but both? Nah

Russia has been preparing to body the usa since the mid-90s. China is constantly improving it's military as quickly as possible.



Then you have to factor in how many allies the usa will be able to muster. who is gonna stab the usa in the back. And the various internal issues taking place in the usa. The usa doesn't win this fight.

We can't even conquer Afghanistan...we sure as shyt can't conquer Iran, China, or Russia.
As for a winning a war...who even knows what "winning" would entail?

I guess Iran would be "easiest" in a non-conquest-motivated war b/c our air force and navy dwarf theirs...Russia's and China's too, for that matter. Plus we have the advantage of having military installments all over the damn place.

If the goal were conquest...maybe Russia would be easiest? Least dense population, closest to America with regard to values, culture, and traditions, newest and least stable government institutions, etc... You could debate all those, of course.
Still would be a fukking nightmare that we would ultimately fail at.

Not sure where you were at, but we were running that country. Yeah, there were some remote tribes still on that Al Qaeda fukkery, but you don't have to have 100% control to be in charge.

Russia doesn't have that kind of muscle any more, just nukes. They've got an economy the size of Italy, no way they could go the distance.

I'd worry about China because they've completely infiltrated out military, government and infrastructure with hackers. If shyt starts, they have the power to bring everything down. Russian hackers don't have shyt on the Chinese. The Chinese are smart enough keep their shyt quiet, too. You see an articles every few years about some doctor or high level Chinese immigrant who's been smuggling military secrets or university research back to China on his "vacations" to see his family.
