:scust:Stressing about school in their free time. :scust:Forgoing certain activities just cuz of schoolwork/work. :scust:Showing up on your day off since you think you have nothing better to do. :scust:Witnessing folks have breakdowns because their gpa took a dip. :gucci:I used to be one of them folks until I chilled out. Finding a healthy balance in this shyt

It's not healthy to live in it 24/7 nonstop. I mean if you have no stress at all related to those things either you have an easy job, not really putting your mind at it as much as you should, or you're some sort of genius where nothing is ever challenging.

But it's important to have downtime and breaks away from those things to maintain efficiency at them. There is the rare person who can be involved in that stuff 247 and not have it have any mental affect on them but not most people. Having hobbies and a focus outside of that ahit is crucial to success.

Some Folks don't know to balance. And a lot of folks don't know the difference between effectively working and pure brute force. :yeshrug:

That work/life balance ain't the wave. Some people are designed to be work horses.

My career has "sabbitcals" 30days paid off every 5 years or so. Most people stack their vacay and have 2 straight months off, paid. Some people use fmla or short term or medical leave and take off for 3 months.

I was bored after two weeks.

You can triple dip though. Sign off on sabbatical, come in and work which is doubletime, plus still get paid regular. Put all that in comp and eat big.

That's what I've been on to finish out school, that shyt sucks but you have to sacrifice if you want to have a certain lifestyle, especially if you need money to even attend school

I agree with op. I mean there is a difference between working hard and being smart with stressing your life away.

Them grades don't defy you
Don't work your self to death for a job that most likely won't have your back.

The last few years my best friend and I were super stressed to stay focus and do something with our lives. Breh was a very hard worker and felt like he was on the right path. To keep a long story my homie died a couple months back and breh didn't even get to see 25.

Again I'm not saying work hard...
All that stressing is pointless

I wouldn’t put school and work in the same category here
Working your ass off in school pretty much always guarantees a better result
Doing it at work could be a coin flip depending on if you get credit for what you do and jobs typically don’t reward employees on the same level as the open market would if they just switched companies so makes less sense there
