Actually, I think the problem came when we gave the government over to people who were so obsessed with oil that they overthrew popular rulers, caused revolutions, invaded countries, got our asses terror attacked in response, and then invaded countries again.

All for the ability to burn shyt that fukks up our kids' lungs and messes with the entire global climate. Not to mention we keep spilling it all over everything.

But no, don't worry about a government spending trillions of dollars on war to protect trillions of dollars in oil profits, let's be afraid of solar panels and electric cars.
nah man if the gov gives people health care, education, housing , jobs and renewable energy, it will lead to Stalinsim, smh do these dudes even know about the original new deal? did we become the USSR back then, lmao fukkin idiots

You need to be a progressive leader in politics. I'm not kidding.

a. I'm too idealistic. I wouldn't be able to handle the constant bullshyt, especially when it comes to kissing the ass of people with money.

b. I don't got any charisma. People would just see me as a hardass constantly disappointed in everyone.

I will say though, if a charismatic leader with deep moral convictions ever comes forth and starts to shake this nation's foundations again, I would love to be planning platform and strategy and getting shyt done behind the scenes Bayard Rustin style.

(without the alternative lifestyle bit :dame:)

:ufdup:The rejection of innovative technological solutions is what outlines the agenda.
If the preservation of the human race was really the goal, no options would be taken off the table.

:lolbron:But the idea of capitalism saving us gives greenies panic attacks. If they can compute it at all.

:manny:It’s probably just easier to label anyone not in favor of your solution(s) a nonbeliever...

:hubie:Carry on.
What innovative technological solutions have been rejected?:patrice:

Funding for the study of technology that removes CO2 and other harmful emissions from the air.

Link?

Although if the government did fund it I'm sure you'd complain about government overreach and say it should be left to the private sector. :coffee:

I wrote a paper on carbon capture during my masters and the review of literature indicates it’s not commercially viable in its current state. The few industrial scale projects (not more than 30 globally last time I checked) are still mostly in development. It also doesn’t address emissions from transportation which solar and wind can address via electric cars. It has its place but its by no means a silver bullet.
