I'm betting the Chinese in china have a higher degree of self-worth due to their media feeding them positive imagery of themselves then the chinese living in America where they don't.Flee Babylon...?

What do you consume the most?
You have television media (Mostly white worshipping of CACs)
You have internet/social media (Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter) where the image and representation of black people isn't the best, especially with the c00ning and gender wars black people seem to be on
You have music (biggest black music genre is Hip Hop and RnB which 90% seems to be degenirate)
Unfortunately positive black imagery and representation seems to be a small fish in a big ocean of negativity.

However, the problem is that while it causes problems, if people are unwilling to acknowledge the problems it causes, then how can one be expected to even want to do anything about the original cause in the first place? Because it is easy to dismiss even this case with "I don't see this in my circles/a majority of black women aren't affected/I go outside and don't see these problems/it's only the internet".
This is why I don't see the problem ever really being addressed with any real seriousness.
And to add to that, people are formed by their surroundings. If she is around people that watch nothing but "white people and their white adventures", due to social pressures, she will inevitably try and fit in.

this is a good point, most people are ignoring the programming and willfully submitting to it, until they're slapped awake by negative treatment.
Self awareness is critical for black folk. We don't have the luxury to float around in life and blissfully wait for the wind to blow us to our ideal state.
