Which video did y'all watch? Five minutes into the cued part, she says that she was rejected by the Black kids in her public school. Host immediately changed the subject.

yeah but in her early development she went to an all black charter school until grade 3. There was no rejection then, no rejection till high school. Plus her educated parents reinforced her image to her. Alot of us were rejected by certain groups of blk people, but didn't go to this extreme.

I guess you could go either way in this scenario

People are blaming "white media images" when she openly attributes it to seeking validation from others because she didn't get it from Black classmates.

Every individual is different and will react differently, but I found it odd that host and people who weighed in completely avoided what she said.

I see your point, but I dont think they avoided it, and I do think it was more than just her class mates. You've told several classmates to go to hell at one time or another. Maybe not with your mouth every time, but at least in your head. Her problem is complicated I get it, but I dont think it was solely the classmates.

What do you consume the most?

You have television media (Mostly white worshipping of CACs)
You have internet/social media (Instagram, Tik Tok, Twitter) where the image and representation of black people isn't the best, especially with the c00ning and gender wars black people seem to be on
You have music (biggest black music genre is Hip Hop and RnB which 90% seems to be degenirate)

Positive black imagery and representation seems to be a small fish in a big ocean of negativity. Unfortunately it's hard to escape.

The youth now grew up on YouTube and Netflix.
If you have self hate issue it just you not the lack of options

I have almost the same exact experience as her. Starting at an all Black, afrocentric private school then transitioning to a white public later on in life.

I didn't give a fukk about Black excellence because for most of my life, cuz the best and worst ppl I knew where Black. I just knew cacs enslaved us and hated everything we do.

Only being around cacs for a couple of years (i didnt actually interact with a white child until I was 11) made me more pro Black. Not because of how the white kids acted, they were nice for the most part....it was the c00ns and the c00nish things they would do or say for white approval.

I was raised by a pro black parent (Father) and attended a pro black charter school and those two things really set a foundation for the black pride i’ve carried throughout my entire life

I don’t know where this young woman went wrong but its never too late to self correct
