Got them to the Finals last year and most likely would've gotten them to the Finals once again this year. He certainly was good enough to not be fired mid-season. The Cleveland Cavaliers franchise is an embarrassment for that shyt they pulled.

:russ: at Blatt's masterful ability to call time outs he didn't have "got them to the Finals last year" rather than the Cavs being the most talented team in the Association and a weak and injured East.:mjlol: at Blatt needing needing Lue to draw up the plays and needing Lebron to call the plays "would've gotten them to the Finals once again this year" rather than the Cavs being the most talented team in the Association and a East that, while better than recent years, is just plain average, doesn't compare to how the West has been in recent years, and has no team in it that can even compete with the most talented team in the Association.

:pachaha:that Jackson deserved to be fired, but Blatt didn't.

So he deserved to be fired mid-season? So Lue is the answer? I can't wait to see what argument you present.

If the Cavs are calling Lue "the answer", why didn't his contract change like Kerr's did? Why does Lue have such a short leash (a season and a half and a petty 1 million dollars)?! Invent narratives, brehs/brehettes.

You can't coach or lead if players don't allow you to coach or lead. LeBron James singlehandedly lost the finals last year.

Sure you can. If a player "doesn't allow you to coach or lead", you bench them. Spo even benched Wade at times (a guy who literally stops playing in the middle of games to instruct the refs to call a foul for him and refs obey). Blatt would likely never do something like that.

Blatt can't coach or lead, period. He needed Lue to draw up the plays, and needed Lebron to call the plays.

No, he did not. Those reports are false. That was stated during Griffin's presser and he was recently asked on ESPN when the Cavs were going to sign him to a new multi-year deal. He is still signed to his assistant coach contract with a head coach title:

Mike: I believe I heard you say that while he has not reached a long term agreement of any kind, there were multiple reports that he had signed a new deal, can you clarify?

Griffin: He has not signed a new deal.

Blatt>Jackson. Deal with it.

:pachaha:at a coach who had Love spotted up in the corner for most of his possessions when he's a great post player, had Shump spotted up in the corners where he is horrible and is better at the midrange and slashing, has a team full of athletes, who are 2nd in efficiency in transition, playing the 2nd slowest pace in the Association and getting beaten by running teams simply because the Cavs aren't used to running, couldn't fix the fact that Love was better offensively with Kyrie out, couldn't fix the defensive disaster of Kyrie and Love on the floor together, called time outs he didn't have and in a playoff game, needed Lue to draw up the plays, and needed Lebron to call the plays is better than the guy that got the GSW's to beat stacked teams in their own buildings (the Miami Heat's big 3), prompting people to call them "stacked" (Splash Brothers and at the time Lee, which most saw as a Big 3), "contenders" (because of solid defense), etc, repeatedly (titles they had never been given) under because they were playing elite basketball on both ends (I can provide quotes upon request, they were given these titles under Jackson), is largely responsible for the contracts Klay and Draymond got and the 1 Curry will get, getting people to place a lot of expectations on them, turning Curry, Klay, and Draymond into All-Stars, etc. Jackson developed them so well, that literally 2 rookie coaches (Kerr and Walton) were able to have a lot of success with them, but Blatt is better. :bryan:

Be absolutely clueless, brehs.
Have no idea of what you're talking about, brehs.
Have no argument, brehs.
Report: Tyronn Lue signs a $9.5 million contract with Cavaliers

No, he did not. Those reports are false. That was stated during Griffin's presser and he was recently asked on ESPN when the Cavs were going to sign him to a new multi-year deal. He is still signed to his assistant coach contract with a head coach title:

But I'm the "clueless" one. :patrice: Buy into rumors, brehs/brehettes. :skip:

This post is filled with so much BS I don't even know where to start. Why does Jackson get all the credit for the Warriors' success and development? Once again dude didn't draw up any plays, had absolutely no strategy, and all he did was give the team motivational speeches. Dude brought religion to the locker room and alienated staff by banning Jerry West from coming to their practices. "Jackson developed them so well" WTF?! Maybe those are 3 talented players that work extremely hard on their game? Klay and Steph must shoot hundreds of jumpers on a near daily basis, and Dray works on all aspects of his game. WTF does that have to do with Mark Jackson? And when it comes to Blatt NOTHING you can say can justify a man being fired while his team is in fukking first place in their conference. So yes, Blatt>Jackson. Blatt actually had years of coaching experience before coming into the league. All this talk about Lue drawing up plays, what about fukking MIKE MALONE drawing up plays for the Warriors? Those of us who actually watched Warriors games knew that Malone was essentially the real coach of the Warriors at that time. Why would Jackson get all the credit for the Warriors' big wins that season when Malone was the one drawing up the plays? On top of that you had guys like Jarrett Jack, Curry, Klay Thompson that were capable of hitting clutch shots with dudes like David Lee and Carl Landry that could score in the paint so their shooters couldn't be keyed in on. You're just as clueless as Mark Jackson was.

"Malone, Mark Jackson's top assistant, is the Warriors' primary strategic mind. He's the guy making the bulk of the "X's and O's" decisions.
Malone's strengths provide a necessary foil to Jackson's abilities, which are harder to quantify, since most of Jackson's "coaching" seems to consist of him blowing hot air and preaching cliches. In a poll of NBA GMs, Malone was voted the league's best assistant coach last season. You'll note Jackson received no votes in the head coaching category in the same poll. And if you think I'm being hard on Jackson, or overrating Malone's importance, just watch any Warriors game and see who's holding the clipboard and drawing up plays. It's never Jackson; it's always Malone

Exactly. If Jackson was this super great coach who birthed GSW then the Warriors should've imploded without his leadership and system instead of improving by 16 wins right? :stopitslime:
