See everyone is hung on on the Lebron-Blatt relationship which is somewhat understandable

But from multiple reports....Blatt had issues with a number of people in the Cavs organization

but you got to let the First Take generation have their hot takes cook man.

I dont even like to make a judgement on these things until a couple months have passed and all the rumor mongering settles down.

Blatt will likely get another head coach or assistant job in the nba......and if he doesnt what then does that say about all of these people acting shocked now

This is a great point because none of the coaches yapping have hired him yet. Mike Woodson and Monty Williams got jobs immediately and Blatt, who supposedly was the reason the most talented team in the league came out of a weak and injured East, is still out of work.

Dog, he got fired while coaching a team to almost winning an NBA Final while decimated with injuries. Then follows it up by Cavs having one of the best records in the league. You don't have to like him. He could be completely incompetent but that is a head-scratching move no matter the sport. Not only is it hard to defend but it sets the expectations SKY HIGH for the next coach and the management will look dumb if the Cavs can't win a Chip this year. The bar and standard has been set.

Did Blatt trade for all them scrubs too?

'Cause Lebron averaging nearly a triple-double can't lead a team to "almost winning an NBA Final while decimated with injuries". But let you tell it, it was Blatts masterful ability to call time outs he didn't have.

Blatt didn't sign up to coach Lebron. People forget he was hired to coach a young team with Kyrie and Wiggins.

Then Lebron came in immediately undermining the offensive system Blatt wanted to establish.

Blatt was screwed from the jump. His system is is based on movement. Ball in constant movement with players in constant motion. Good luck doing that with LeShames on your squad:mjlol:

Blatt did the best he could in that situation. Y'all think Lue is gonna do better than winning 2 games vs the Warriors in the finals? Nah they gonna get swept :francis:

So, all of a sudden, Lj isn't the best passer in the game and just wants to be an iso player like 'Melo (who is a great player)? :dwillhuh: So, Lue will get swept if Lebron averages another near triple-double like he did in last season's finals. :russ: Lastly, the organization is showing their consistency with the short leash they have on Lue by not giving him a new contract and instead just letting him finish out his assistant coach contract with a head coach title. He has until the end of next season to show them something or he will not be getting an extension. That's only a season and a half and a petty 1 million dollars. That organization isn't playing games (pun intended).

SOOOOOOOO much caping for this Cac Jew. It's really illuminating...:scust:

The Coaches/Owners/Managers/etc have ZERO issue trading, cutting, or waiving players, potentially shifting the course of lives and careers. This has been standard practice on winning teams, losing teams, middling teams, teams on the cusp and teams in the trenches.

And it was all just "business". To help the team be better, to put the team in a better position to "win it all".

Dominique Wilkins was traded away from a team he'd spent his entire career on, in the middle of a season in which the Hawks were Number 1 in the east, to the fukking CLIPPERS for a player no one remembers the name of now (Danny Manning). He was not told before-hand, despite leading the Hawks to 4 straight 50 win seasons during his career...

Michael Jordan retired because the bytch ass Bulls owner wouldn't come out of pocket to keep the team together, a team which has JUST won the title. The GREATEST PLAYER OF ALL TIME was told to sit his black ass down by a Cac who didn't give a fukk

Lamar Odom was traded away from the Lakers and was never the same player again, the trade plus his own personal demons have haunted him ever since

Dozens of examples of players taking it all in the name of the "team" but when the "team" fires America's overnight favorite Cac coach, a coach who had PROVEN he wasn't ready to get a team over the jump towards a championship, all of a sudden it's a national tragedy and coaches want to bytch because now they think the big boogie man super ****** Lebron has overstepped his plantation boundaries :martin:

fukk outta here. It's BUSINESS right? Lebron doesn't need to spend the last remaining years of his prime attempting to carry the Cavs and baby sit his coach while he figures out to how to properly coach a CHAMPIONSHIP team. We can hear all the whining and tirades about him being originally signed to coach a young team and how the plan was for all of them to grow together and all that bullshyt, but guess what? Who gives a fukk? It's BUSINESS.

So if the coaches want to whine about what they've been effectively doing for years or if Blatt wants to to cry foul then

The bolded got me like :ohhh:. Brilliant posters on this board. :wow:

Why would they? David Blatt is a much better coach than Mark Jackson. Blatt had been coaching for years at the international level before even coming to the NBA, Mark Jackson on the other hand went from being a commentator to a rookie head coach (I had issues with this move by Joe Lacob honestly, I thought they should just have kept Keith Smart). I never saw Jackson draw up a play the entire time he was coach of the Warriors (I'm not saying he never did, I just never saw him). Dude would always just give the team motivational speech after motivational speech, but when it came to actual game-planning? shyt was lacking. At times Jackson looked completely clueless out there. You don't believe me? Just go watch the 2013 Western semis, breh looked clueless as hell and never knew when to make adjustments. If Mark Jackson was still coach of the Warriors the team wouldn't be NBA champions and they'd probably be stuck losing in the semis and WCF.

Blatt>>Jackson. David Blatt didn't deserve the treatment he got no matter how anyone tries to spin it. The coaches aren't :cape: for him either, shyt is just the truth.

This post is looking madd funny in the light. Jackson isn't given the credit he deserves for how well he developed them. He made them elite. Kerr did not. Kerr inherited and elite team that didn't have to play anyone in the playoffs. Klay couldn't even play defense before Jackson. Jackson got them to beat stacked teams in their own buildings (the Miami Heat's big 3) by developing their backcourt into the Splash Brothers and improving their defense tremendously. The league sent the refs to help the Clipps beat the Warriors because of Sterling's prejudice. The Warriors were coming, with or without Kerr.

Man the convenient memory about what was said about Blatt before his dismissal is amazing

Again if he is so highly regarded he will get a job in the nba again......period. By a team with big talent no less

The bolded. The media only changed their tune (inevitably causing the masses to do the same) because of Tyronn's skin color. Same with the coaches. VanGundy and Carlisle have shown their lack of respect for Afrikans with the way they treat their players. Spo too, who if I'm not mistaken, was also yapping.

Everyone:

Breen even said it was Harden's trash defense that hurt the Rockets and not Mchale, even though they won plenty of games with Harden's awful defense. McHale had plenty of time with that stacked roster to win and he didn't. Mark got a weak roster and turned them into contenders.

No, the GSW's did not "greatly improve" under Kerr. Kerr inherited a roster that Mark greatly improved and they didn't have to play anyone in the playoffs. Jackson isn't given the credit he deserves for how well he developed them. Klay couldn't even play defense before Jackson. Jackson got them to beat stacked teams in their own buildings (the Miami Heat's big 3) by developing their backcourt into the Splash Brothers and improving their defense tremendously. Warriors went from a 2nd round and 1st round exit to the choking clippers with Jackson to immediately ringing in Kerr's 1st season, breaking Jackson's regular season record in the process but keep on caping for trash coaches.

But Lue is? :beli:

And if he was and they knew that, why not just do that last offseason?

That's just the thing: maybe Lue isn't. The organization is showing their consistency with the short leash they have on Lue by not giving him a new contract and instead just letting him finish out his assistant coach contract with a head coach title. He has until the end of next season to show them something or he will not be getting an extension. That's only a season and a half and a petty 1 million dollars. The thing I love to hear is "David Blatt just took the Cavs to the Finals". David Blatt didn't take the Cavs to shyt. The Cavs (LeBron specifically) took David Blatt to the Finals, if anything. He should be thanking LeBron for making it possible for people to give a fukk that he got fired in the first place, because had he been stuck with that original Cleveland squad he'd be fired anyway after another season of 20-30 wins with Kyrie and Andrew Wiggins.

Nothing but the truth.

Treatment??? Do u see how professional athletes are TREATED in most professional sport situations??? Mark Jackson was a great coach...1st or 2nd year reaching unexpected playoff levels with a shadow of what curry is today...no they didn't cape for Mark because he's a public Christian who is black. White folks HATE black men willing to stand on any type of soapbox. No they didn't cape because Mark Jackson doesn't fit the agenda.

It's was Mark's color, but also because Mark's replacement was the default complexion in this racists country. Euro's like being over us and hate us being over them.

Only people who don't watch Warriors games say things like this. Mark Jackson had absolutely no strategy nor game-plan. Kerr is light years ahead of Mark Jackson as a head coach.

So going from a 2nd round exit to the spurs to a 1st round exit to the clippers had nothing to do with it?

At 1st I was definitely thinking of the racial implications behind everyone caping for a coach getting fired and blaming the Black star player who Whites feel has too much power.

But on the other hand, if like others have claimed that Cleveland would be 1st in the East, with or without Blatt, than what was the point of firing him?

Might as well let it play out...is TY Lue gonna do a better job? I hope he does, or you won't hear the end of it from Whites. And this is coming from a jaded Heat fan.

That will be another narrative that Euro's invented because the organization has placed no such trust in Lue's ability to bring them a ch'ip or even come out of a stronger and healthier East than Blatt had to deal with. The organization is showing their consistency with the short leash they have on Lue by not giving him a new contract and instead just letting him finish out his assistant coach contract with a head coach title. He has until the end of next season to show them something or he will not be getting an extension. That's only a season and a half and a petty 1 million dollars.
