Tried to tell a friend about this a couple of days ago. She doesn’t have kids and doesn’t understand how incredibly hard it is to move around with kids in the city (plus I dont own a car anymore).

When I lived in Bk with wifey we had one car that I took to work and used for groceries and trips. I biked 7.5 miles to work once after Sandy but would not do that on the reg. Biking for fun in Bk is dope because it is so flat.

Bk is largely flat in comparison, there is a part literally called Flatlands.

The problem with New York City is that the homeless has started to turn into senseless criminals preying on vulnerable people but won't stoop to someone on their level. But it's always been this since the late 70s when the economy was rough.
New York City was in its prime during the late 90s towards 2001.
Covid-19 made a lot of New Yorkers move out because of high taxes. Still the greatest city of the world.
