I know I'm going to receive a lot of flack from this from the fellas, but I have to call it as I see it and the way I see it...dude is shock jock no different than the likes of glenn beck, heck I get his shtick and I respect that he's trying to wake men up but he should not be taken as a serious voice for the black mens rights movement if you can call it that.
Yes, you heard me right. I have nothing against the man personally, my problem is with the substance of his message or lack thereof. I feel like he says what he says to fire men up as opposed to get men thinking and to start a critical dialogue that would help black men in some way. shytting on black women for three hours does not help black men in any way whatsoever, it's basal self gratification. If you want to have your circle jerk, that's cool, but I actually want to get the to root of some of this shyt, I don't care who's feelings are hurt and Sotomayor simply doesn't go deep enough for my liking.
How can we say that we're all that better than the women women when we sit around and do the damn same thing like a bunch of bitter lipsticks hens? I have nothing against black men raising their grievances to their women on weight, attitudes or kids out of wedlock or any other plethora of problem they identify within the culture , because these issues are serious and need to be addressed , no deflection or nawalt smokescreen can change this reality.
but we also need to learn how to handle ourselves as civilized gents. Don't be a troll. No one takes a troll seriously.
An argument can be effective without having to rely on ham fisted antagonism. I suggest people start at GirlWritesWhat youtube channel, hell Sarge has come a long way in this department and he can shyt on arguments while maintaining himself credibly cursing and everything. I'd go as far as to say that's he's among the best voices for men to listen to.
This black women aint shyt counter culture is going to end up biting us in the ass, it was fun when it started and men were making valid points in the beginning but now, it's become turd slinging thinly veiled as mens empowerment. You can't win when you're covered in shyt. Remember that. A lot of mens minds have been poisoned just like the womens were. You will never see me make a callous anti-black women attacks just for the sake of shytting on black women, that's not me. That's not what I'm about. I attack black womens culture, I attack the misguided feminism movement but I will not resort to bullying.
I didn't like how black women threw black men underneath the bus all through the 90s on talk shows like Oprah and on still on sites like clutch and I don't like the direction that the black mens rights movement has taken on sites like this and others which has become a mirror reflection of that, though at least our arguments have some merit. We have to beat them with sound arguments and logic, not trolling and hate.
I can listen to Sarge or Tariq and be stimulated on a mental level and feel some type of way about it, but with Tommy, I just feel like his shows are 3 hour long black men vent specials. I'm not saying people shouldn't listen to him or anything, but I think too many people take him far too seriously.
