What cultural shifts happened in hip hop to where now a days nothing has that "timeless" feel? I still love some current hip hop like future etc but even futures great run last year... some of the songs already feel kinda... old

Its a strange feeling but I think its gotta be a cultural shift brehs. Nothing and I mean nothing really comes close to the feeling I got from listening to stuff like this even years later in highschool.

Ren spazzed, I am on record to saying that to this day I have not heard 1 rapper who just completely destroyed every track on an album. Production is top notch. It is actually my 2nd best produced album of all time behind Paul's Boutique edging out Only Built, 3 Feet, Daily Operation and Cypress Hill's debut

I said it once... and I'm going to say it again. When the nikkaz4life album dropped NOBODY(including Pete Rock, Premo, DJ Quik, ect) was fukking with Dr Dre as a producer... the only ones that came close was Public Enemy's the "Bomb Squad" and I would still give Dre a slight edge over them.

Dr Dre was light years ahead of all the other rap producers when "nikkaz4life" dropped. Go and listen to the production on all the other rap albums that came out in 1991 and then listen to the production on "nikkaz4life"... that shyt is on a whole other level. The production on nikkaz4life was so dope it made them other nikkas shyt sound wack.

Even Ice Cube who was beefing with NWA at the time admitted that the production "nikkaz4Life" was dope as fukk. The production on nikkaz4Life was so dope it made tons of fans including myself ask the million dollar question.... "Just think how dope the "nikkaz4Life" album would have been if Ice Cube was on it"... GOD DAMN!!!!

All the lyrics on Ice Cube's first solo album "Amerikkkas Most Wanted" was supposed to be for the next NWA album which was "nikkaz4Life".

low key quik was... think about this...dre nem was bout to get 75,000..from ruthless..

quik had the underground in la... hell hutch nem didnt get what quik was offered..

eazy offered that nikka a million dollars..n to show he wasnt bullshyttin..he put quik og's in the game...let them shine and let quik handle the work..

quik label panicked it got back eazy was around quik durin the making of way 2 fonky..quik was lettin it be known on that album to eazy was in the mix..

profiled ended up being pissed..suspended quik for 2-3years..only way quik got on the menace sdtrk..is due to quik n hi-c giving allen and albert their first start..

quik was still fresh...dre had 5 albums under his built when quik came in..quik was still a rookie..
