Stankonia still sounds futuristic and in comparison MBDTF sounds dated. It's not a knock against MBDTF, but that's just how far ahead Stankonia is. For example, you have a song like "Snappin' & Trappin" which pretty much described what Atlanta rap would be five to six years later. Although Big Boi was talking about "snappin" in the lyrical sense, it's still ironic that snap music was a craze that dominated Atlanta's rap scene from 2005-2008. And trap was also huge.
