Yeah, I know starting a 3rd party is difficult, but it's the sacrifice Progressives have to make Because the DNC will never change You would have thought AFTER Clinton got her ass embarrassed that the corporate folk would fall back. Nope, now they are making things worse. I feel a new party should be established if they don't lean back like Fat Joe by the end of next year If the next gen leaves it, then eventually it dies off. Even the Republicans played by the rules, Unlike the dems.

There already the greens and the socialists which are filled with far left democrats and they will never be elected.

America is a 2 party system, 3rd parties will never win because of the nature of the winner takes all election system.

If the progressive dems started their own party they would fade into obscurity and no one would vote for them because the system ensures that Republicans or Democrats candidates get the most funding, media attention (hell, 3rd parties don't even appear on presidential debates) and it's easier for them to access the state ballots.

If the Progressive democrats want to make change, they have to influence and shape the party within. The democrat party is an umbrella of political ideologies ranging from neo-liberals to socialists.

It's really the progressives chance right now to take over the Dems by pushing for presidential candidates in 2020.

They won't let Ellison get the spot and they are still pressing donors for 2020. TBH, I've given up hope for the Dems. For 50 years they have been doing the same shyt. Hell, I just say merge The Greens and left groups together.

I think they should break away from the Democratic party.

But they will have the same problem the Green party has, they will try to go for the top spot which is presidency instead of taking baby steps like securing seats in local and state offices.

Progressives have momentum acting in their favor, they just need to start increasing their base.
