Changing a tire is like the changing a light bulb in a house. It really that simple, however its always been a good jester that a man is willing to get down dirty and use his strength to change it. There are plenty of women who actually dont have the strength to do it.

Pumping gas goes the same way, I've always pumped gas for the women in my family and my life besides my sisters. But again... its more of a gender roles thing. And young people nowadays dont really acknowledge that.

How is she breaking gender roles it's a freaking car, if it belongs to her then she needs to fix it. however, i do think he's a bum, most likely it seems like her car. Maybe she knows more about cars than he does. If it was his car and he didn't know how to fix and she must have knew, just decided to handle it without passing knowledge. I don't believe all men who are actual in their sons' live even know how to fix a car so what can they pass down when it comes to cars. It's a car if you own one no matter your sex you should know how fix your car, however with all these auto shops a lot of people don't see the point in learning much about a car but how to drive it. You might as well blame these auto shops too.

Seriously though, I taught my daughter how to change a tire and check and change oil and what not, I don't ever want her to have to depend on a man in that sense, but best believe if she had a boyfriend that sat there and let my daughter lift a dirty heavy azz tire and make her jack it up herself, at best I'm gonna look at him funny and I'll probably check him.
