But I bet she heard all the bullshyt remakes, stolen samples, covers, and etc

that's a shame, if that's the case, man

i really do wish a lot more of his 80's heyday was available for day 1 fans and new fans to see. there's so much great concert footage and unreleased songs that people are missin' out on. i mean, i respect the fact that for religious reasons he kinda shunned away from that era of his but as a fan it just hurts an iconic artist's legacy gone missin' in way :mjcry:

the albums are 1 great part of it all, but then there's so many of his shows/concerts and bootleg of live shows are just as a great as his albums :ohlawd:

bruh, just listen to how great this cover of "just my imagination" is; that guitar solo that kicks in :ohlawd:

I show this to my friends all the time. My favorite Prince video is actually a cover of a song from the Beatles. He never flaunted his guitar skills that much, at least not his REAL guitar skills. He always had a modest approach to the guitar in his music and shows. BUT this was one of the times he let completely loose. There might not have been a guitar player alive who could hang with Prince on the electric, and the amazing thing is the guitar was like his side instrument. At some point the other artists(who are all great musicians in their own right) just stop and witness the holyness, as if Hendrix came back from the dead or something. He absolutely DESTROYS Eric Clapton's original. It starts at 3:28 but watch the whole video. The build up is worth it

Prince took everyone to school in that building that night, made them take notes on why his guitar game is so well respected.
