Quarter zips are the best casual smart layering you can get. It's clean enough to wear to brunch, meetings, art shows, and even dates and dinners.

Quarter zip is all I wear when I go into the office during the winter and I always have one in my office just in case the AC is too cold during the summer.
You don't have to iron your button-up and you have the option to still wear a tie or not plus it negates the need for a suit jacket. All you need is a Black, Navy Blue and Gray in different styles (Polo, TH, or Walmart)
