The Rams have all their 2024 picks, in a doomsday scenario where McVay bails and Stafford, Ramsey and Donald all fall off a cliff they're in perfect position to rebuild and reap the rewards starting with the 2023 season. They didn't mortgage their future at all.

I don't think McVay bowing out has as much to do with the roster situation as it does with the fact that being a Head Coach is a miserable grind between all the hours you put in and the way it consumes your life. Once you accomplish all you want in that lane making more money to do TV is a better option in every way.
