I was just listening to Do or Die's Head & Tails yesterday. This same thought came to me yesterday.

The thing is this era of pimpin is completely different from the 90s with the emergence of the internet. Imagine if you had someone that could create music out of that on some smooth shyt.

Suga Free on Snoop's "Trust Me" :banderas:

Pimp.

shyt.

:ohhh: @ Sylk E Fyne only being 37. I thought she was much older than that. She always looked older than her age. She brought more playa shyt to the game than these new nyggas:mjlol:

Pimpin needs a revival. I remember the two times I was approached by pimps, dudes had no shot since I grew up with a father and common sense, but the mouth piece was strong, I will not deny :lawd:

The game done got soft. Wouldn't be surprised to hear a nikka cry on a track soon like MJ singing She's Out Of My Life. Even though LL had his soft moments he still gave you the impression that you better not ever run up on him. I miss these days...

This thread is powerful

You know, I miss slick bars about pimp shyt period.

It's one bar. Very simple. But Phil da agony's execution is so clean, so cold

Mitch put that bytch in heels, send her out for 100 dolla bills

:wow:

Not wanting to derail OPs point, but it's hella tempting to post some pimp tracks:damn:

This is why, for me, suga free the coldest. His delivery on some pimp shyt is flawless

Exactly, it just makes for entertaining music. He's gotta be the most unique artist in hip-hop right now and he's flown completely under the radar of the mainstream public. Some people (usually, the people responsible for the poor state of commercial hip-hop music) might try to discredit this line of music as rapping that doesn't require skill. What about song-making? A dope verse with no regard to tone, a dope verse with no regard to the sound of the music. What is that? That's not songwriting, those people often time have the least input on the sound of their songs, and they can't even put good character into it? :dahell:

Different strokes I guess, because clearly not everyone can appreciate what suga free brings to the table. He's an extremely talented artist, his sound and delivery is like no other. He's remained unique.

There's a lot to be said for tonality, delivery and sound. It puts added meaning to bars.

shyt, I'm smiling as i type this
