All the upcoming stars that should be running rap right now died. (Xxx, pop, juice)

You still have Drake Kendrick and Future as your top stars

And all the young hungry creative people rather be streamers and rap on the side

On top of all of that but Rap lost some it’s cool factor with the youth and is slowly heading for the same fate as rock music.
also internationally reggeton and afrobeats had a big run 2018-2023 and now country is having a huge massive comeback in the USA 2022- now. huge

I dont like the comparison cuz the nba has a bunch of good young stars
None with personality

Maybe ant

I have a theory

These young guys paid attention to how the generation that’s about to be gone was treated

And no one wants that smoke

The over dissection of everything

And with hip-hop these young guys know they can’t out rap the legends

Remember krs kool g and the rest didn’t just hand it over

It was taken

Music would be in a MUCH worse place if it were left in the hands of those dudes
I thought pop made good music after I listend to the album...the other 2 wernt my cup of tea and I guess overall I agree with you but it def left no stars

They weren’t for me but I also understood that they all had “it” thats needed to become a star.

They would be massive right now. Just look at their streaming numbers years after their death. They definitely had next

X, JuiceWorld and Pop Smoke dying altered hip hop more than Pac and Biggie dying IMO. It straight up destroyed the path rap was likely going down and instead we got a flood of trash women rappers and some drug addicts.

All three of those guys had arena tour potential, big album potential etc.
