I post this in every Bleek thread, but I grew up on dudes music, at that age I could listen to him easier then Jay, you know? I loved Jay, and was just getting into his music at the time, but Bleek was like the young cat that just coming up.
I was like 14, 'Coming of Age' was some shyt we played EVERY morning going to school, some little 8th graders with their big sister listening to the most explicit shyt possible lol, we loved it whenever the older sisters drove so we could play Bleek, or whatever other shyt we were on. I went to Mexico City for a while the day after copping the album, I memorized that damn thing on the flight/lay over down. 'Stay Alive In NYC' was an epic story track for a kid my age lol
Coming Of Age' is a raw ass album, there is zero commercial shyt on there, his other albums were more polished, and his last two were really solid production and content wise, he gets this rep for being wack, but I never thought so. He had a good run, bowed out gracefully, but he has classic tracks over the years, I still have Bleek on the iPod, over a lot of the shyt out these days thats supposed to be hot..
yeah that commerical was hilarious..but watching the 'Memph Bleek is video, wow at how dated that shyt is, it was a lifetime ago, but still..baggy jeans and jerseys...

Forgot all about this shyt, i was proud to see the young man shine. His first official single right? All kinda flashbacks watching that vid.
love this fukking song and the beat
