Not currently. My mom is working on getting him betrothed as we speak.

He was on that Katy Perry tip for a second..
He took a white girl to the movies last month and we suggested they see 12 years a slave :jawalrus:.
well, if your mother raised him right, he most certainly wont be compatible with the majority of black women.

my bad, i missed the part where she said "legal" and skipped right into the slandering of fatherhood. i certainly understand why men are against the institution of marriage. you already acknowledged it's basically a business contract, one that men are often on losing end of. so why would we willingly jump into a losing situation?

That's a myth. I don't know why people think the small % of divorce situations apply to everyone else with lint in their pockets. Or why the multiple studies on how much happier and healthier married men are versus single men are ignored. It's as if a single individual's situation has to be generalized to everyone's life. I think more women are wising up that the the fairy princess story is just that...a story. They likely won't be the happiest in a marriage. Society is telling them to hunt down a lie.

Married men win financially and physiologically. They typically earn more money and get more promotions because they generally have partners who pick up slack with maintaining a house (or similar living space) and family, therefore giving them the ability to be the top earner (source). Is that losing? There are a lot of benefits married men are getting across the planet so trying to throw that out on the basis of a celebrity relationship or a scorned coli poster's bad break up is short sighted to the rest of the world. Hopefully you aren't doing that, but.....

A major survey of 127,545 American adults found that married men are healthier than men who were never married or whose marriages ended in divorce or widowhood.

A study of 27,779 cancer cases found that unmarried individuals were more likely to have advanced disease at the time of diagnosis than married persons.

Scientists evaluated 3,682 adults over a 10-year period. Even after taking major cardiovascular risk factors such as age, body fat, smoking, blood pressure, diabetes, and cholesterol into account, married men had a 46% lower rate of death than unmarried men.

One of the most comprehensive studies on the subject, which was released in 2010 by the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University, confirmed this, compiling statistics on sexual attitudes and habits of 5,865 people between ages 14 and 94. An average of 61 percent of singles reported that they hadn’t had sex within the past year, compared with 18 percent of married people. Looking specifically at those between the ages of 25 and 59, 25 percent of married people reported that they were still having sex two to three times per week versus less than five percent of singles.

A Virginia Commonwealth University study found that married men earn 22 percent more than their similarly experienced but single colleagues.

ignoring the obvious incest factor, would you be happy if he married a woman like yourself?

deciding to get married is a choice men have the right to make. women can no longer shame men into signing their life away, despite the statistics -- which i even agree with. my thing is, you can get most of that w/o a marriage.

i want to see more strong marriages. but with the way everything is setup. y'all have successfully detoured a lot of us from the idea entirely. women want to push this whole female supremacy ideology on one end, while hitting us with marriage on the other. you have pick one, you can't have both.

wait wait wait

Do some people here actually believe that the foil to feminism are cooking classes? :mindblown: Cooking was not the one defining factor of feminine appeal last time I checked with some well-adjusted men who do not believe in trivializing mental illness by classifying whatever they dislike as such. And I am a feminist, and I don't think you can state ''what women really like are men who mistreat them'' as an absolute rule because while it's a statement with SOME validity, some other women would beg to differ. Just as I could very well say ''what men really like are shallow dumb dime piece whores'' which is also a statement with SOME validity and nonetheless some other men would beg to differ.

That said, I believe fathers are just as important as mothers.
