Not a gangsta rap song, you're right, but my point is 50 Cent was just a gangsta rap personality through and through... How to Rob, Heat, Wanksta. That's the way he presented himself, and that was the face of the game at the time. And I said Dipset wasn't gangsta bc they really weren't, compared to G-Unit. I feel like braggadoccio rap can certainly have gangsta elements, just like trap rap can have gangsta elements, doesn't make them gangsta rap. Dipset focused way more on how dope they were, how fly their outfits were, how many chicks they bagged, wayyyy more than 50, who rapped a lot about the hustle of the gangsta lifestyle.

I feel like you could separate gangsta rap into an old school / new school sound around those years, but you can't tell me it died the years it arguably peaked, why just cause Big and Pac left?

gangsta rap definitely died (at least commercially) in the late 90s. You can blame lots of different reasons.
