They want to drag Drake down into the hole they’re in. If he succumb, they stop hating, they've made him irrelevant and go on to hating someone else. Hating is not about Drake, but a frustration embodied in the hater that he or she is not beautiful, successful, winning, whatever. That’s all they've got, their hate. Drake got so much more.

I know It's crazy that some kid from Toronto took over the rap game in just 5 years, but you nikkas just gone have to deal wit it.

I would love to see even ONE of these salty ass people going HAM on Drake right now who was previously a noted fan. All of the people bytching and moaning the loudest have either already been fully anti-drake or taking lowkey shots and just waited for something like this to further plant their flag into the ground on. Oh absolutely. They hate him for several reasons. Some legit, most not.

1. He's winning. Obviously.

2. After years of macho posturing and gun clap rap, he admits he likes women and has emotions. It makes men raised on post-NWA uncomfortable to admit women matter.

3. He's a musician instead of a rapper. So you can't beat him by rap rules or force him out through hip-hop technicalities. You can't clown him out of the game because he'll clown himself. You can call him soft and he'll just say "yeah ok". You can't judge him off his features because he IS the feature. He markets to people that actually buy music, so you can't hurt him in sales. It's frustrating for haters because they can't get a grip on a strategy.

What instrument does he play? Does he make beats? Please tell me what makeshim a musician? He doesn't even write his own song lyrics

He is a successful pop artist in my opinion.... He has his own production team, his own songwriting team, and provides the image which works perfectly because he is an Actor.

I'm not mad at him in the least bit, I actually enjoy some of his songs and hopes he continues doing his thing. He just need to stay in his lane because he doesn't need to try to be a real rapper, it's not necessary. Just do his sing song thing with a lil rap in there and he'll be fine
