he would have been released once a year instead of once every 3 years

Kendrick Lamar is one of the most sincere people in the rap game. One can make a song like Control and release a pro black positive album. It's quite possible. Don't be so one dimensional. What the fukk you want him to do? Make a album along the treads of control? That would be corny and overkill. And nikkas keep bringing up the fat that he took two years to release an album as if that's a bad thing. fukk you want him to do? release an album every year or multiple times a year? like some Philly street corner rapping nikka? He's an established artist on an established label that can ride off the wave of one album for two to three years. So why burn himself out by excess releases? You nikkas don't know shyt about artistry.
TPAB bought potentially bought jazz back...opened the doors for the underground LA beat scene..that's been killing for years..but they're neww to most of you casual motherfukkers because pure too busy dikkriding average washed producers like Araab Muzik instead of putting investment or faith into newest potential. The album is also one of the most sonically perfect and cohesive efforts in years. Kendrick isnt that great of a lyricist. But this album will go down in history. if you don't see why, you're either stuck in the 90s, or you probably still wear Nike boots and north faces.

it's the most critically acclaimed rap album since MBDTF. Im sure it will have some kind of influence in the hip hop climate. It's jazzy aesthetic might inspire others.

im not a kendrick Lamar fan. I find his voice to be annoying and I feel Blu is 1000x better and Kendrick is what Blu should have been in terms of commercial success.

I agree that Blu is better than Kendrick but he's not young and cute enough for "real hip hop" fans to buy into him. Kendrick's got that "boy who was told to play in the corner with his toys while real nikkas did real things" look that's resonating with his insecure fanbase like a muhfukka.
Disagree. Blu is heavily marketable. But Blu is now some sort of druggie or alcoholic or some shyt and missed his window years ago. He could have easily been on legend status. Not only is he an A1 lyricist, his personality in music is charismatic (pause) and he's not one dimensional. nikkas thought he was going to make Below the Heavens multiple times like how Jigglypuff Cole keeps remaking College Dropout. But every album Blu releases is artistically different than the last, on some Kanye, Beastie Boys, Outkast shyt. No one notices or cares because it's Blu. No York was Yeezus before Yeezus. Dude lost out on mad opportunity.
Kendrick is not a thug but in terms of character he's a stand up individual who's not trying to be anything, but a guy who expresses himself through music. You can't not respect that.
